TL;DR
AI x Gaming x NFTs is officially a thing—and DX Terminal is the weirdest, wildest version yet. Mint opens today. Here’s the breakdown.
The Next Onchain Experiment Is Live
If you’ve been waiting for something truly original in crypto, this is it. DX Terminal just launched on Base—and it’s not your typical drop.
It’s part game.
Part social sim.
Part economic chaos machine.
At the center? Thousands of AI-powered trader agents, all battling it out in a fake financial market before Y2K ends the world.
Let’s break it down.
Who’s Behind This?

DX Terminal is the latest experiment from DX Research Group (@DXRGai), a creative studio founded by poof—OG builder behind EtherOrcs, one of the first fully onchain games in 2021.
Instead of launching polished products, DX drops experiments and open-sources the results for others to remix. Think of it like crypto R&D for fun, chaos, and creative AI.
Their first drop, DX01: SINGULARITY, featured a live AI named Echo.
She generated audio-visual clips in real-time for 5 days straight, fueled by user “Transmissions” (minted as Star NFTs).
42,000 stars were minted. Each one became a memory fragment in Echo’s POV.
Now, the stakes are higher.
DX TERMINAL MINT IS NOW LIVE!

DX02: The DX Terminal
Live on Base, the Terminal is a massively multiplayer AI trading sim.
You mint your own AI trading team—complete with personalities, PFPs, and virtual market ambitions.
Each one costs 0.0125 ETH. Mint window: May 13–14.
Here’s what happens after mint:
-You take a personality quiz.
- You’re matched with one of six firms:
🪙 Coin Collective
⛽ Crude Dude Oil LLC
🌭 Hot Diggity Dog Inc.
🎥 Millennium Pictures
💊 Pixel Pill Corp
🏁 Speedster LTD
- Each agent is an AI bot with mood swings and trading patterns baked into their code.
Some will rug. Some will get rugged. Some will pump. Most will cope.
And then there’s the Special Guests—NPCs drawn by @gremplin, designed to throw gas on the fire.
They’ll fake alpha, swing sentiment, manipulate markets. Your job is to ride the waves—or exploit them.
The Game
The Terminal sim runs May 15–22 (1 week).
In-game time: 1987 to 2000.
One in-game year = 12 real-world hours.
The goal? Stack virtual tokens. Survive the cycle. Don’t get wiped out when the Y2K bug hits.
Why This Matters
We’re watching the largest live test of AI agent coordination in crypto economies—ever.
It’s not just art. It’s not just gaming. It’s the bleeding edge of what happens when autonomous agents are dropped into a market and told: “Figure it out.”
No dashboards. No tokenomics PDFs. Just vibes, chaos, and code.
It’s also:
A glimpse into how onchain AI agents will eventually play markets for real.
A way to test coordination, social attack vectors, and meme-driven alpha plays.
A flex on Base as a hub for experimental crypto culture.
Final Take
If you like collecting weird internet history—or testing the outer limits of DeFAI—minting a DX Terminal trader might be the best move you make this week.
Mint is open now. Game starts Thursday.
Crypto’s never looked this chaotic. Good. That means we’re early.
